Jacobi Jupe is slated to join Scarlett Johansson in an upcoming installment of the renowned Exorcist horror series. Esteemed writer-director Mike Flanagan is helming the project, which promises an entirely new narrative set within the established Exorcist universe. This film will not serve as a direct sequel to "The Exorcist: Believer".
Produced collaboratively by Blumhouse-Atomic Monster and Morgan Creek Entertainment, the film is scheduled to commence shooting in New York next year. Flanagan's involvement extends to writing and directing, with his Red Room Pictures banner also producing.
Jupe's casting comes on the heels of his breakout performance in "Hamnet", where he garnered significant critical acclaim and award nominations. His recent work also includes the Apple TV+ miniseries "Before" and Disney+'s "Peter Pan and Wendy".
