Jacob Elordi's Shocking Bond Odds Surge
19 Feb
Summary
- Jacob Elordi is the new favorite to be the next James Bond.
- His odds dramatically improved after the release of Wuthering Heights.
- Bettors have heavily favored Elordi, with 56% of bets backing him.

Jacob Elordi has emerged as the leading contender to step into the role of James Bond, succeeding Daniel Craig. The actor's odds saw a significant leap following the recent successful release of "Wuthering Heights," in which he portrays Heathcliff. Previously considered an outsider, Elordi's price dramatically shortened from 14/1 to 4/1 last week, and further to 5/4 this morning, according to William Hill.
This surge is attributed in part to substantial betting activity, with 56% of all bets placed on the next Bond actor favoring Elordi over the past 24 hours. His rise has dethroned Callum Turner, who had held the favorite position for weeks. Turner now stands at 6/4, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James also in contention.
The "Wuthering Heights" adaptation itself had a strong opening weekend, grossing $76.8 million globally and $34.8 million in North America. The film's success, starring Elordi and Margot Robbie, has also prompted speculation about Robbie becoming the next Bond girl, with odds of 6/1 for that to happen.
