Jackie Shroff recently reflected on his deep-rooted connections with Bollywood stalwarts Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, recounting early career experiences. Shroff detailed his instrumental role in facilitating Salman Khan's entry into the film industry, noting he was an assistant director on 'Falak' in 1988. Shroff saw potential in Salman's photographs and actively promoted him to filmmakers.
He recalled approaching Subhash Ghai and K.C. Bokadia with Salman's pictures. This effort eventually led to Salman's first film, 'Biwi Ho Toh Aisi,' though 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' later cemented his superstar status. Shroff mentioned that Salman Khan frequently cast him in his early productions.
During the same interview, Shroff also shared his initial encounter with Shah Rukh Khan while filming 'King Uncle,' where SRK played his younger brother. Shroff was struck by Shah Rukh's calm demeanor and profound respect on set. He described SRK as charming with a beautiful smile.
