His journey to sobriety began with an adolescent treatment center in California. Osbourne has previously spoken about how his issues escalated, including a hospitalization in 2003 for OxyContin addiction and a severe depressive episode following his mother's cancer diagnosis. These difficult periods eventually led him to a sustained recovery.
