- Heated Rivalry S2 films this summer for 2027 release.

Actor Jack Innanen will not be appearing in the upcoming season of Heated Rivalry. Innanen had publicly expressed his strong desire for a role and actively campaigned for a part in the show's second season.
A source confirmed that Innanen received a starring role offer but ultimately could not accept it. This is due to conflicts with his production schedule for other projects.
Heated Rivalry season 2 is set to begin filming later this summer. The show is expected to premiere in the spring of 2027, airing on Crave in Canada and HBO Max internationally.
The new season will adapt key events from Rachel Reid's 2022 novel, The Long Game. Fans had particularly hoped Innanen would portray either Troy Barrett or Wyatt Hayes, prominent characters within the series' established romance universe.
Showrunner Jacob Tierney confirmed Troy Barrett would be a character, describing him as a "damaged guy" whose complexities would be further explored in the upcoming season.
