A cross-country flight carrying rappers Ja Rule and Tony Yayo devolved into a tense mid-air confrontation on Sunday morning. The dispute, which occurred aboard a Delta flight from San Francisco to New York City, began shortly after passengers settled in.
Ja Rule, seated ahead of Tony Yayo and a friend, reportedly initiated the exchange with a comment. This quickly escalated into a verbal argument with raised voices and profanities, witnessed by other passengers. At one point, Ja Rule allegedly threw a pillow towards Tony Yayo.
Flight attendants intervened, temporarily removing both individuals from the aircraft. During the confrontation, Tony Yayo was heard remarking that airplanes are 'federal offense territory.' According to witnesses, one passenger was subsequently rebooked on a later flight.
The flight ultimately proceeded to JFK and landed without further incident. Representatives for both artists have been contacted for comment.
