The Italian Global Series Festival is set to host its second edition from July 3rd to 11th along the Adriatic coast. Meyer, along with Carlton Cuse and Richard Gadd, will be honored with the festival's Maximo Excellence Award.
World premieres include the detective drama "Benidorm Is Murder" and the medical thriller "Emergency 53." International premieres such as "Secret Service" and "Speaking Dead" will also be featured, demonstrating the festival's commitment to bringing diverse international content to new audiences and industry professionals.
Artistic director Marco Spagnoli emphasized the festival's role as a platform for "Star Trek" themes like peace and cooperation, and its aim to renew intellectual property. He also highlighted Netflix's upcoming "Little House on the Prairie" reboot, drawing parallels to European series that have shaped generations.
