The creator, Leon Girling, meticulously crafts his display in Sandown, transforming his home into a wonderland inspired by beloved franchises like Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Lego.

This year's exhibit boasts impressive features such as a flying Ford Anglia, a fire-breathing dragon, and smoke and snow machines, all brought to life with vibrant lights. Girling's dedication to creating joy has been a family affair, with most decorations ingeniously made from upcycled materials, showcasing a commitment to both festivity and sustainability.

The display, which has gained national attention, is part of the annual 'Light up the Wight' competition, a beloved event that raises funds for local charities. Sold-out bus tours from Newport visit numerous light displays across the island, celebrating community spirit and the magic of the holiday season as voting for winners commences in January.
