IShowSpeed's Anthem Scores FIFA World Cup 2026 Album Spot

Released in November 2022, IShowSpeed's debut single "World Cup" quickly amassed approximately 97 million Spotify streams and 211 million YouTube views. The track became a popular anthem for soccer fans globally. This success has led to renewed momentum with the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. Warner Records launched a follow-up single, "World Cup (Champions)," on June 1. This new track secured a spot on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, an 18-track compilation released worldwide on June 5. FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted the album's strong musical lineup. The path to this official inclusion involved a viral social media exchange where IShowSpeed requested the song's official status. FIFA's official X account responded, leading to confirmation via direct message. IShowSpeed celebrated this news enthusiastically during a livestream, jumping on his bed and performing his signature celebration. The "World Cup (Champions)" music video features stadium-inspired visuals, national flags, and Ghanaian cultural elements, with IShowSpeed sporting a Portugal jersey. The anthem begins by listing the 48 nations participating in the 2026 tournament.
