Ishaan Khatter's eclectic Mumbai pad unveiled

Ishaan Khatter's Mumbai residence is an artistic and relaxed retreat designed to reflect his dynamic personality. Located in Bandra with sea views, the three-bedroom apartment was designed by Sarah Sham of Essajees Atelier and transformed within a swift 2.5-month timeframe.

Khatter envisioned a home that felt lived-in and inspiring, rather than formal. The design incorporates a mix of vintage cinema references, personal memorabilia, lush greenery, and musical instruments like his guitar and cajon.

Each room possesses its own distinct visual identity, moving away from a singular design language. Textured walls and vintage accents, including classic Bollywood posters, add a nostalgic atmosphere. A dedicated home theatre also serves as a library and display for his scripts and trophies.

Unexpected details, such as a climber's hangboard and a playful lake-shaped mirror, further personalize the space. The living room is designed for comfort with plants and tactile surfaces, while a studio-cum-training room prioritizes functionality.

This design philosophy balances youthful energy with nostalgia, creating an intimate and relaxed mood. The Bandra location enhances this experience, allowing Khatter to enjoy sea-facing sunsets. His recent acclaimed performances in 'Homebound' and 'The Royals' bolster his reputation as a versatile young actor.

Khatter's career also sees him serving on the jury at the 2026 Biarritz Film Festival - Nouvelles Vagues in France. He is preparing for the release of 'Jugaadu' and the second season of Netflix's 'The Royals,' scheduled for production this September.
