The epic journey of the iconic heavy metal band Iron Maiden is captured in the upcoming documentary, "Burning Ambition," slated for release on May 7 via Universal Pictures. This film delves into the band's remarkable five-decade history, from their origins in East London in 1975 to their current global acclaim.
"Burning Ambition" promises unprecedented access to Iron Maiden's vast archives and features interviews with band members, alongside notable figures like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Chuck D. The documentary highlights their 17 studio albums, over 100 million records sold, and extensive touring across 64 countries.
The film also touches upon the band's resilience through lineup changes and health challenges. Celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2025, Iron Maiden embarked on the 'Run For Your Lives' world tour, released a visual history book, and received a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination. A separate film, "Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer," about former singer Paul Di'Anno, is also scheduled for release this summer.
