Infanta Sofia Steps Out in Heels for Royal Event

Infanta Sofia of Spain recently attended the 34th Princess of Asturias Awards Concert in Oviedo, opting for a notable fashion choice: navy sling-back heels. This marked one of the first times the 19-year-old has been publicly seen in heels, sparking online discussion. She was joined by her parents, Queen Letizia and King Felipe, and her older sister, Princess Leonor, for the family outing.

The concert took place on the eve of the 2026 Princess of Asturias Awards. Queen Letizia wore a caped blouse from Elie Saab x H&M, while Princess Leonor appeared in an all-black ensemble. The King and Queen and their daughters presided over the event.

This occasion served as a reunion for the Spanish royal family, as Infanta Sofia is currently studying abroad. She is in her second year at Forward College, having previously studied in Lisbon, Portugal, and will continue her studies in Berlin, Germany next year.

Princess Leonor, meanwhile, commenced her university studies at Carlos III University of Madrid last month, following three years of military training. The family will reconvene on Friday for the main awards ceremony and will visit Llanes on Saturday.
