Summary

- JAFF Market aims to foster co-production and financing opportunities.
- 14 global producers will meet tailored Indonesian partners.

The JAFF Market in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is launching its first Producers Exchange from November 28 to November 30. This program is designed to link visiting producers with Indonesian creative and production partners. Fourteen international producers have been selected for this initiative, which runs concurrently with the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival.
Each participant will receive a personalized schedule of pre-booked meetings. These discussions will focus on areas such as adaptation, financing, co-production, and distribution. The goal is to cultivate partnerships that extend beyond the event, as stated by market director Linda Gozali.
Notable producers attending include Malaysia's Wong Kew Soon, known for "Mother Bhumi," and U.S.-based Rajib Mohajan, a producer on "Rehana Maryam Noor." Singapore's Sam Chua Weishi and Wendy Lie, Taiwan's Shao-Yi Chen, and South Korea's Kimbo Kim are also among the selected participants.
Indonesia is represented by Nana Riskhi and Nick Musa. Thailand's Phimphloi Nan Saensuk and Mongolia's Otgontuya Zorig are also part of the exchange. Australia's participation is facilitated through a partnership with the Adelaide Film Festival, bringing producers Lisa Scott and Rae Choi, who have credits on titles like "The Tourist" and "Ina." The JAFF Market, founded in 2006, offers selected producers accommodation, market accreditation, and access to networking events and screenings. The festival itself will conclude on December 5.
