A24's limited debut Pillion, starring Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling, opened to $241.8k across four screens, achieving a strong per-theater average of $60.2k. The film, a recipient of multiple awards, is experiencing advance sellouts nationwide.
Focus Features' Hamnet continued its impressive run, grossing an estimated $750k at 925 theaters, bringing its domestic total to $21.8 million since its November debut.
Other notable performances included Neon's Sirat, which opened to $136.3k on four screens, and GKids' Kokuho, which earned $47.2k in its opening weekend in the US, while achieving record-breaking success in Japan.
