Akshay Kumar Stars in Alien Horror 'Samuk' with Hollywood Veterans

Indian filmmaking is embracing a new genre with the upcoming sci-fi alien thriller, 'Samuk'. The project features a star-studded cast and crew, including prominent Indian action star Akshay Kumar in the lead role. He reunites with producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah after a 12-year hiatus, with Kanishk Varma directing.

To bring its extraterrestrial world to life, 'Samuk' has enlisted Hollywood heavyweights. Luke Tumber, a renowned stunt coordinator with credits in 'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning' and 'Venom', leads the action sequences. Tumber described the project as an "exciting fusion" of international expertise and authentic action cinema.

Further enhancing the film's visual spectacle is Academy Award-nominated creature designer Alec Gillis. Famous for his work on the 'Alien' and 'Predator' franchises, Gillis is creating a unique, practical-effects-driven alien monster for 'Samuk'. He noted the filmmakers' commitment to traditional, handcrafted monsters in an era dominated by CGI and AI.

Akshay Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that the script and subject matter of 'Samuk' were fascinating.
