An engaging philatelic exhibition, "Indian Cinema Through Philately," is currently captivating attendees at the 56th IFFI in Panaji. Supported by the Goa postal division, this event provides a unique visual retrospective of India's cinematic heritage through an extensive array of stamps, miniature sheets, and special covers.
The exhibition pays homage to foundational figures like Dadasaheb Phalke and celebrates iconic directors, actors, and singers. It also highlights the rich contributions from Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema, showcasing the evolution of Indian filmmaking across various eras.
Adding a personal touch, visitors can create their own MyStamp sheets, featuring their photographs on postage-valid stamps, offering a popular souvenir option. The display also includes special releases commemorating birth centenaries of musical legends like Mohammed Rafi.
