This new entity is designed as a permanent platform to unify India's multifaceted film industries, promoting collaboration, transparency, and recognition across its diverse regional sectors.
The initiative has garnered support from prominent figures across Indian cinema and the Producers Guild of India, which serves as chief patron. INCA's founder, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, emphasized its intent to build a universal talent database and celebrate excellence fairly, while Shibasish Sarkar highlighted its role in institutionalizing credible, unified awards for all Indian languages.
Beyond its awards component, INCA will feature an annual Cinema Conclave and develop a comprehensive database of film professionals. The inaugural INCA Awards ceremony is slated for March 9 in Mumbai, marking a significant step towards a unified and celebrated Indian film ecosystem.
