The exhibition thoughtfully juxtaposes artworks, such as a 1948 painting of Mahatma Gandhi by Egyptian artist Ali Hassan alongside a piece by Indian artist Akbar Padamsee. These pairings create a compelling dialogue, bridging nearly five decades and geographical distances.
'Resonant Histories' is a collaborative effort, co-curated by Puja Vaish of the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation and Suheyla Takesh of the Barjeel Art Foundation. The exhibition aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the shared heritage and contemporary connections between these vibrant regions.
