Incredible Hulk's Darker Cut Feat. Captain America?

Director Louis Leterrier has revealed that a darker and longer cut of the 2008 film, The Incredible Hulk, exists. This extended version could offer further insight into the early Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the film was a foundational block alongside Iron Man. While Edward Norton was later replaced by Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, elements from the film, like Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, have continued to appear in later MCU installments.

Of particular interest are deleted scenes that were never filmed, but conceived by Leterrier. These included a sequence featuring both Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, set in the North Pole. Leterrier explained that this particular concept was "a little ahead of its time" and ultimately deemed "a little too dark" to be produced. He also hinted that some of the film's excised material may still be released in the future.
