New Sci-Fi Thriller 'Imposters' Secures U.S. Distribution

The sci-fi thriller "Imposters," which premiered at SXSW 2026, is set for a U.S. theatrical release in early 2027 following its acquisition by Brainstorm Media. Directed by first-time feature filmmaker Caleb Phillips, the screenplay also penned by Phillips, explores a couple's ordeal after their baby is abducted.

The mother's desperate efforts to retrieve her child lead to unsettling questions when her husband begins to suspect the returned child may not be their own. This suspenseful narrative has already garnered significant international interest.

"Imposters" has secured distribution deals across numerous territories, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and various European countries. Further deals cover Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, India, and CIS territories, demonstrating its global appeal. The film is produced by Thomas Bond and Sara Seligman for Broken Pig Productions, with Joe Bandelli also serving as a producer.

Having screened at festivals such as Beyond Fest, Chicago, BiFan, Edinburgh Film Festival, and Sitges, "Imposters" is poised for a wide release. Brainstorm Media, known for its targeted distribution strategies, will handle the U.S. launch. Blue Finch Films will manage the United Kingdom and Ireland releases themselves.
