The announcement video showcased Ilaiyaraaja in a recording session, interacting with Subbaraj and the film's team. This partnership signifies a rare occasion for Subbaraj, whose films have predominantly featured music by Santhosh Narayanan. Only Petta, which starred Rajinikanth, had a different composer in Anirudh Ravichander.
Subbaraj's last directorial was Retro, starring Suriya. Meanwhile, Ilaiyaraaja continues his prolific career, recently working on multiple Tamil projects and now engaging with a new generation of filmmakers through this collaboration. He is also involved in Thiagarajan Kumararaja's upcoming film, Pocket Novel.
