Masterpieces such as 'Umrao Jaan', 'Pyaasa', and 'Subarnarekha' have undergone meticulous restoration by Prasad, a global leader in film preservation, in collaboration with NFDC-NFAI. This initiative ensures that these culturally significant works are preserved with their original artistic integrity, employing advanced digital restoration techniques.
The restored films, including 'Gaman', 'Rudaali', 'Party', 'Susman', 'Kireedam', 'Musafir', and 'Murliwala', will be screened throughout the festival. This effort not only revives cinematic history but also allows contemporary audiences to connect with the powerful storytelling and craft of India's cinematic legends.
