In November 2025, the culinary scene in Hyderabad was stirred when a local restaurant called Chiranjeevi Dhaba encountered a legal challenge due to its homage to the famous Telugu actor's name. The eatery, located in Nallagandla, had opened earlier that year and quickly gained popularity among Chiranjeevi's fans.
However, following a Hyderabad Civil Court order that safeguarded the actor's personality rights, several establishments using Chiranjeevi's name, including the Chiranjeevi Dhaba, were served legal notices. The restaurant's owner, Ravi Tej, took to social media to clarify the situation, stating that the use of Chiranjeevi's name was solely out of admiration and respect.
Ravi explained that his restaurant was among 50-60 businesses that received the notices, and he acknowledged the legal validity of the court's order. He further revealed that after personally meeting Chiranjeevi's team and explaining the situation, the superstar graciously gave them permission to continue operating under the same name. "The way he responded, so quickly and so kindly, through his team deeply moved us," Ravi added.

Following Ravi's clarification, fans flooded social media with praise for Chiranjeevi's understanding and generosity. Ravi also addressed rumors that people were being arrested for using the actor's name, clarifying that legal actions target only those misusing it. Promising to honor the actor's legacy, Ravi said, "Sir, from our hearts we promise you, we will never do anything that would bring disrepute to your name."
