Aspiring performers across India have a new avenue to showcase their talents as HYBE India launches nationwide auditions for a forthcoming girl group. The auditions, commencing on March 31, 2026, and concluding on July 31, are exclusively for female applicants born between 2005 and 2011. Applicants are encouraged to present their abilities in diverse fields such as singing, dancing, rap, acting, and modeling.
This initiative stems from extensive research into the preferences of young Indian audiences, particularly women, highlighting a demand for relatable and inspiring artists. The concept of "Harmony in Diversity" will guide the formation of the group, celebrating varied voices and stories from across the nation. HYBE India CEO Damien Woochang Lee emphasized the goal of establishing a clear pathway for Indian artists to achieve global recognition.
The audition process involves initial online applications, followed by in-person rounds in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Interactive pop-up events are also planned. Collaborations with prominent brands such as Samsung, H&M, and Snapchat are in place to support participants throughout the journey.
