11 Mar
Summary
- The Hunter Club arts centre will continue operating as usual.
- Previous manager's departure raised concerns about the venue's future.
- The community has rallied to support the continuation of events.

The Hunter Club, an arts centre in Bury St Edmunds, will continue to operate and stage events, its owners have confirmed. This assurance comes after former manager Nick Pooley announced his community interest company had lost the use of the premises, leading to questions about the venue's future.
Lucy Allen, representing the Hunter family, stated that the venue is "not shutting" and that "nothing has changed" except for Mr. Pooley's departure. The family is actively working to ensure the venue's viability and is excited about its future.
Since its opening in 2009, the award-winning venue has been a significant platform for numerous bands and artists, hosting events for organizations like BBC Introducing Live and Bury Fringe Festival. All scheduled events at The Hunter Club will proceed as planned, thanks to community support.
