Hugo Cabret Turns 20: A New Edition!

Brian Selznick's beloved children's novel, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, will mark its 20th anniversary in 2027. To commemorate this milestone, Scholastic Press is set to release a special deluxe paperback edition in the spring of 2027.

The new edition will feature a refreshed design while retaining the original narrative that captured the imaginations of millions. Author Brian Selznick expressed gratitude for the novel's enduring popularity and is excited for new readers to discover Hugo's story.

First published years ago, The Invention of Hugo Cabret was revolutionary for its time. It pioneered the integration of picture book, graphic novel, and film aesthetics, a format that had not been widely explored before.
