Hudson Williams Stars in New Mystery Thriller "Yaga"

Hudson Williams is set to star in "Yaga," a new half-hour drama series on Crave, marking his next television role. Production is currently underway for the series, which reunites the actor with the streaming service where his breakout show "Heated Rivalry" aired. This will be Crave's inaugural half-hour original drama.

The series features an ensemble cast including Carrie-Anne Moss and Noah Reid. Created by Kat Sandler, "Yaga" adapts the classic Baba Yaga myth into a modern mystery thriller. Reid portrays a private investigator arriving in a coastal town to probe the disappearance of a wealthy fishery heir, played by Williams.

As the investigation unfolds, the private investigator becomes entangled with a local detective, a university professor, and a complex network of secrets and ancient magic. The production is a collaboration between Front Street Pictures, Blink49, and Charles Cooper, with David Frazee and Rachel Talalay directing.

"Yaga" is described as a genre-bending, unexpected story, with Sandler aiming to reclaim the Baba Yaga figure as a feminist antihero. This marks a significant venture for Crave into original half-hour dramas, promising bold and unique storytelling.
