Stern's Ex-Assistant Denies $2.5M Demand
14 Apr
Summary
- Leslie Kuhn denies demanding $2.5M in damages from Howard and Beth Stern.
- Kuhn seeks to void non-disclosure agreements, not monetary compensation.
- The lawsuit aims to protect her right to speak freely about her employment.

Leslie Kuhn, a former assistant to radio personality Howard Stern, has refuted claims that she is seeking $2.5 million in damages from Stern and his wife, Beth. Kuhn's attorney clarified that the lawsuit's primary objective is to have non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) declared void and unenforceable, rather than to secure financial compensation.
According to court documents filed on Sunday, Kuhn desires to "protect her right to speak freely" regarding her employment and subsequent dismissal. Her lawyer explained that a monetary value of "no less than $2.5 million" was assigned to this right solely to meet court requirements for the commercial division of the New York County Supreme Court. However, the lawsuit does not obligate Stern to pay this sum if Kuhn prevails.
Kuhn was initially employed by SiriusXM on The Howard Stern Show in September 2022 as an office manager, later becoming Stern's executive assistant in January 2024. She claims her termination in February 2026 resulted from a hostile work environment and issues related to the Sterns' animal rescue operations. Kuhn also alleges that an NDA presented to her was fraudulently manufactured, bearing a signature that was merely her typed name.
