23 Apr
Summary
- Music video merges contemporary art with music video grammar.
- Collaboration features globally revered artist Dr. Subodh Kerkar.
- Video embraces extended format, challenging attention span norms.

The music video "Bhalobashar Desh" by Hooligaanism showcases a layered storytelling approach, blending striking visual language with a strong musical foundation. This project marks the first music video collaboration for Goa-based contemporary artist Dr. Subodh Kerkar, known for his large-scale installations at the intersection of ecology, memory, and identity.
Inspired by Kerkar's "Ocean Odyssey," director Riddhi Sen aimed to represent diverse Indian landscapes metaphorically through human formations, a concept Kerkar embraced for its alignment with his convictions about art being inherently political and unifying. The team consciously chose an extended runtime, arguing that engaging content, not duration, captivates audiences.
