Stars' Nostalgic Notes Up For Auction

Telegrams from Hollywood stars sent for a 1960s cinema opening are now set to go under the hammer. The messages were dispatched by actors such as Omar Sharif, Julie Christie, Roger Moore, and Bette Davis to commemorate the gala evening of ABC Doncaster on May 18, 1967. This special event included a screening of the acclaimed film Doctor Zhivago.

The telegrams were carefully kept by the cinema's manager, Len Key. They have recently been discovered by his daughter, Lesley Hyton, who found them while clearing out her parents' home. Ms. Hyton described the telegrams as unique and special, noting universal positive reactions from those who have seen them.
