Hollywood Legends Enlisted to Reimagine the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies

In a major announcement, the organizers of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles have selected a powerhouse duo to produce the opening and closing ceremonies for the games. Ben Winston, a renowned producer known for his work on the Grammy Awards and high-profile concert specials, will serve as the executive producer and creative director for the ceremonies. He will be partnering with Scott Givens, a veteran of 15 Olympic Games and 63 global ceremonies, who will serve as the executive producer for production.

The two producers have formed a joint venture, FulFive, to tackle this massive undertaking. Their selection is seen as a strategic move to leverage Los Angeles' deep well of creativity and entertainment expertise to deliver a truly memorable experience for the global audience. Peter Rice, the head of ceremonies and content for LA28, the entity tasked with producing the games, emphasized the importance of reflecting the city's unique identity and entertainment legacy in the ceremonies.

With the pressure on to exceed the acclaim received by the Paris 2024 ceremonies, Winston and Givens are poised to bring their respective strengths to the table.
