Hoda Kotb: Life's Best After 50

Hoda Kotb, formerly of the 'Today' show, shared an inspiring perspective on life and career milestones achieved after the age of 50. Speaking at Axios House during the Cannes Lions festival, the 61-year-old revealed that all her significant blessings came after this age, including the adoption of her children, Haley and Hope, and securing her "dream job" on 'Today' with Savannah Guthrie.

Kotb, who departed 'Today' full-time on January 11, 2025, has since launched a new wellness company, Joy 101. She likened this transition to "re-potting," describing the initial feeling of uncertainty followed by the discovery of new strengths in a "new adventure." She highlighted that many prominent female anchors are over 50, citing examples like Gayle King and Robin Roberts.

This new chapter includes a podcast, a mobile app, live events, and wellness courses. Kotb stressed that personal timelines are unique and that life continues to be full of possibilities, urging individuals to decide when their own lives are "over."
