History Channel Revives Iconic "Modern Marvels" Series with WWII Spin-Off

In a move that will delight fans of the iconic "Modern Marvels" franchise, the History Channel has announced the greenlight of a new three-part series titled "Modern Marvels: WWII." The series, set to premiere in 2026, will delve into the greatest machines, most impactful weapons, and groundbreaking innovations that shaped the course of World War II.
The "Modern Marvels" franchise was created over 30 years ago and has aired nearly 700 episodes across 21 seasons, making it the network's longest-running series. The new WWII-focused installment comes from Hearst Media Production Group and will explore how necessity and invention changed the course of history during the conflict.
"Bringing this iconic series back allows us to celebrate its legacy while exploring one of the most defining events of the 20th century," said Eli Lehrer, EVP and Head of Programming for the History Channel.
