Hilary Duff's Divorce Revelation: Recording album while married

Hilary Duff shared on 'Call Her Daddy' that she started recording her fifth studio album, 'Breathe In. Breathe Out.,' in 2013, while still married to her first husband, Mike Comrie. The couple separated in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016.

Duff described the divorce as a painful but necessary collaborative decision, noting that she and Comrie worked to make the transition peaceful for their son, Luca. She recalled making efforts to ensure Luca felt comfortable during exchanges, prioritizing his needs above all else.

The singer also reflected on undergoing significant therapy to process the emotional toll of the divorce. She and Comrie continue to co-parent their son, Luca, who will celebrate his 14th birthday on March 20. Duff is now married to Matthew Koma, with whom she shares three daughters.
