In November 2025, Hilaria Baldwin reflected on her short-lived but memorable time on the previous season of Dancing With the Stars. The yoga instructor and reality star, who is married to actor Alec Baldwin, opened up about the physical toll her DWTS experience took on her body.
Baldwin revealed that her week 1 costume, a tightly corseted silver and lime green top with a deep V-neck, caused bruising around her neck, collarbones, and the back of her neck due to the garment's extreme tightness. The following week, when she performed the tango, her elbows had to be taped due to the pain caused by her pro partner Gleb Savchenko's intense tricks and throws.
Of all her DWTS outfits, Baldwin found the diaphanous, floor-length gown designed to mimic Carrie Fisher's iconic Princess Leia costume from the original Star Wars trilogy to be her least favorite. The sheer amount of fabric made it difficult for her and Savchenko to dance without getting caught up in it.
Despite her strong performances throughout the competition, Baldwin and Savchenko's quickstep to the "Cantina Band" song from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope was not enough to save them from elimination in week 4. Though she left the show empty-handed, Baldwin expressed no regrets and even spoke enthusiastically about gaining a "lifelong friend" in Savchenko.
Baldwin's experience on DWTS is not unique, as many former contestants have sustained various injuries, from cracked ribs to broken noses, while competing on the show. Her story serves as a reminder of the physical toll that the reality competition can take on its participants.
