Heritage Live Axes Summer Festivals Due to Low Sales
13 Jul
Summary
- Heritage Live canceled festivals at three UK estates due to low ticket sales.
- Financial uncertainty and a saturated festival market led to the cancellations.
- The promoter cited competition from large corporations driving up costs.

Heritage Live has announced the cancellation of its planned summer festivals at three prestigious UK estates: Englefield, Audley End, and Sandringham. The promoter cited "far lower than average ticket sales" and "general financial uncertainty" as the primary reasons for this decision. The cancellations impact planned performances from major artists who were scheduled to perform across the various estate locations.
The organization stated that despite efforts to secure investment, a last-minute failure to finalize a package made proceeding impossible. As one of the few remaining independent British promoters, Heritage Live expressed that the increasingly saturated festival market, dominated by large multinational corporations, has driven up supplier, artist, and staffing costs. This, combined with the cost-of-living crisis, made survival untenable.
Ticket holders are advised that refunds will be processed through ticket agents such as AXS Ticketing, Ticketmaster, and See Tickets. While some refunds may be automatic, ticket purchasers are urged to retain their transaction receipts for verification. Heritage Live expressed deep regret for the cancellations and thanked supporters for their patronage over the past decade.
