Summary
- Akshay Kumar confirmed no current work on Hera Pheri 3.
- Hera Pheri 3 faced prior issues with Paresh Rawal's departure.
- 'Bhooth Bangla' starring Akshay Kumar releases April 17.

Akshay Kumar provided an update on the much-anticipated 'Hera Pheri 3' during a recent Instagram live session with fans. He clarified that "there's nothing on Hera Pheri right now," quashing immediate expectations for the film's development. This statement follows reports from last year indicating that the trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty were set to begin filming.
The 'Hera Pheri' franchise, beloved for its comedic timing, began with a 2000 hit directed by Priyadarshan. The original film featured Kumar as Raju, Suniel Shetty as Shyam, and Paresh Rawal as the iconic Baburao Apte. Its 2006 sequel, 'Phir Hera Pheri,' continued the misadventures. The production of 'Hera Pheri 3' reportedly faced hurdles, including Paresh Rawal's temporary departure due to creative differences, although he later rejoined. Kumar's Cape of Good Films had issued a legal notice to Rawal, which was subsequently dropped.
In other news, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming horror-comedy, 'Bhooth Bangla.' Directed again by Priyadarshan, the film also features Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and the late Asrani. 'Bhooth Bangla' is slated to hit theatres on April 17.
