Summary
- Producer seeks $7.5M for alleged breach of settlement.
- Dispute over credits for 'Pinocchio' and 'Fraggle Rock'.
- Henson Co. accused of failing to honor agreements.

Jason Lust, a former senior executive at The Jim Henson Company, has filed a lawsuit seeking over $7.5 million in damages for an alleged breach of a settlement agreement. Lust claims the company failed to provide him with agreed-upon compensation and screen credits for several key projects. These include the sequel 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip,' Guillermo del Toro's Oscar-winning 'Pinocchio,' and the Apple TV+ series 'Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.'
According to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Lust was guaranteed producing bonuses, compensation, and executive producer credits on related projects after leaving the company in 2015. The lawsuit alleges that the company did not pay Lust his contractual share or provide the agreed credit for the 'Alexander' sequel. Furthermore, Lust claims his executive producer credit on 'Pinocchio' was deliberately diminished by being placed deep in the end titles, reducing its value.
The complaint also states that The Jim Henson Company allegedly sidestepped its obligations regarding 'Fraggle Rock' by reclassifying the project as a television series, thereby avoiding compensation and credit for Lust. Lust asserts these actions were intentional, aimed at denying him the financial and professional recognition promised in their settlement.
