Filmmaker Nick Cassavetes is set to direct "Known Associate," a new feature film detailing an unprecedented undercover operation. The movie is based on the acclaimed book "No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels," co-authored by federal agent Jay Dobyns and Nils Johnson-Shelton.
The film will chronicle Dobyns' deep immersion into the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club between 2001 and 2003, an operation known as "Operation Black Biscuit." This extensive infiltration blurred Dobyns' sense of self, placed his loved ones at risk, and forced difficult choices with lasting repercussions.
Corey Large of 308 Enterprises is producing the film, which is based on a screenplay by Nick Snowden, Jay Dobyns, Marc Furmie, and Paul Johansson. Casting for "Known Associate" has already begun, with production scheduled to commence in Summer 2026.
