Helen Skelton Clarifies Friendship With Co-Host

Helen Skelton has clarified that her relationship with Morning Live co-host Gethin Jones is strictly platonic, despite recent romance rumours. The presenters, who have known each other for 25 years, have frequently appeared together on red carpets, fueling speculation. Skelton told The Mirror, "We just work together, we are not together. We are just work friends."

Their friendship dates back 25 years, with both having crossed paths on Blue Peter. Skelton noted that their strong bond sometimes makes them forget they are live on air. She also mentioned that she sees her work friends as much as her real friends.

Skelton separated from her husband, Richie Myler, in 2022, a situation she has openly discussed. They share three children: Ernie, Louis, and Elsie. Skelton has expressed a positive outlook on co-parenting and her children's happiness.

She also reflected on her decision to compete in Strictly Come Dancing months after her separation, seeing it as an opportunity for a "big smile." Skelton has since adjusted her schedule, quitting her Radio 5 Live Sunday slot in August 2023 to dedicate more time to her children.
