Heeseung Departs Enhypen for Solo Journey

Heeseung, the eldest member of the K-pop group Enhypen, is departing the band to pursue a solo career. Belift Lab confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating that the decision was made after in-depth discussions with Heeseung about his future and musical direction.

The agency will continue to support Heeseung as a solo artist. Enhypen will now continue its official activities as a six-member group, featuring Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.

In a message to fans on Weverse, Heeseung expressed deep gratitude for his six years with Enhypen, calling them overwhelming and precious. He thanked his fellow members and the group's fanbase, Engene, for their unwavering support, which helped him achieve his dreams. He pledged to continue cheering for Enhypen.

Heeseung also mentioned his personal projects and his desire to share his work with fans, while prioritizing the team. He acknowledged fans' potential shock and worry, offering an apology and promising to return in an even better form, carrying their love in his heart.

Enhypen, formed through the survival series I-Land, is managed by Belift Lab, a subsidiary of Hybe. The group's recent album, "The Sin: Vanish," reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
