Heather Gay Reacts to Whitney Rose's Divorce

Heather Gay has shared her reaction to the unexpected divorce filing by her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City castmate, Whitney Rose. Gay admitted to being surprised, as she had believed the couple was experiencing a temporary estrangement rather than heading for divorce.

Rose, 39, officially submitted divorce papers in Utah, concluding a 16-year marriage to Justin Rose, 58. She has proposed a parenting plan for their two children, a 16-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son.

Gay learned of the filing during a live interview and expressed sadness, noting her affection for Justin and their family. Drawing from her own experience with a divorce finalized in 2014, she acknowledged the immense difficulty of the process.

Earlier in July, it was confirmed that Whitney and Justin had separated two months prior. In September, Whitney mentioned they were 'nesting' with their children, sharing two residences and rotating between them to maintain stability for the kids. She indicated that viewers would witness the events leading to their separation on the show.
