Following her departure from Hollywood, Donahue pursued a career as a medical marijuana grower. She even released a memoir in 2012, 'Growgirl,' detailing her experiences. In 2020, she legally changed her name to Rei Hance.

Recently, Donahue addressed her connection to the upcoming 'Blair Witch' reboot. She clarified on social media that she is not participating in the project. Donahue stated that she declined an agreement due to concerns regarding long-term rights, identity usage, and personal autonomy.
