Hearts2Hearts' Debut Single Shatters Sales Records

Hearts2Hearts, an eight-member K-pop group, has achieved a significant milestone with their Japanese debut single, ICONIC HEART. The single entered Billboard Japan's weekly Top Singles Sales chart at No. 2, selling an impressive 65,176 copies during its first week of release (August 10-16, 2026).

ICONIC HEART's strong performance is notable, with first-week sales exceeding those of two other examined Japanese debut releases from 5th-generation K-pop girl groups. The single also reached No. 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and topped the radio airplay metric.

The group's success can be linked to extensive pre-debut activities in Japan. These included performances at major events like SMTOWN LIVE 2025, release events, early digital single releases, and numerous television appearances.

Further bolstering their momentum, Hearts2Hearts has appeared at TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION, THE FIRST TAKE, and various festivals. They were also recognized as August 2026's Monthly Artist on TikTok and featured in Spotify's "Buzz Tracker" program.

Globally, Hearts2Hearts has garnered attention, being named one of NME's Essential Emerging Artists for 2026 and holding solo showcases in North America, positioning them as icons for the Z-alpha generation.
