Brian Hickerson, the on-and-off boyfriend of the late actress Hayden Panettiere, has released his first statement following her death. His lawyer stated that the investigation into Panettiere's death is continuing and that it's important to let it proceed without speculation.

Police have confirmed that there were no immediate signs of foul play discovered at the scene. Panettiere, known for her roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," was found unresponsive in a South Carolina apartment and could not be revived.

The Drug Enforcement Administration has reportedly joined the ongoing investigation. Panettiere's mother, Lesley Vogel, expressed that Hickerson was present at the time of her daughter's death and has blamed him for her struggles with alcohol and substance abuse.
