More recently, on September 19, Christensen was seen at the opening night gala for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. He attended the event with his 11-year-old daughter, Briar Rose Christensen. The museum, dedicated to visual storytelling, was co-founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas and Mellody Hobson. Other notable attendees included Star Wars legends Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.
During an earlier appearance at Fan Expo New Orleans in January, Christensen recalled a memorable set visit from 2005. He revealed that Robert De Niro visited the set of his final Star Wars film and observed his climactic lightsaber duel. Christensen shared that both he and Ewan McGregor were excited by De Niro's presence. De Niro reportedly related to Christensen's pre-take routine of doing push-ups to enhance his performance.
