Vampire Ward Haunts T-Shirt Design Contest

A design contest is underway for the official 2026 merchandise of the 'Survive the Sanatorium' haunted house in Mount Morris. Artists are encouraged to create designs reflecting the "Blood Ward" theme, which features a 1930s vampire containment facility with a vintage medical setting and horror elements. Submissions are due by July 30, and the winning design will be printed on dark shirts, allowing up to three colors and specific text.

The Genesee Valley Council on the Arts is also seeking volunteer scare actors for its second annual haunted house. Costumes and makeup will be provided, and volunteers will receive a free ticket and raffle entry. This haunted attraction, located in a historic tuberculosis hospital, will run on select nights in October, including a Family Fright Night for younger children.

Proceeds from the haunted house will benefit the Keep the Arts Alive campaign, which supports the council's provision of arts and cultural events throughout the region.
