Haunted Bungalow Shakes Up Kerala Police Station

In November 2025, Zee5's new Malayalam streaming series 'Inspection Bungalow' is generating buzz for its unique blend of horror and comedy. The show follows Sub-Inspector Vishnu, a weary police officer, who is instructed to move his entire station into the eerie, deserted Inspection Bungalow in the village of Aravangad. As the cops settle in, they begin experiencing strange occurrences - whispers in empty rooms, shifting shadows, and an overall sense of unease.

The setup holds promise, with the police officers forced to maintain a brave facade despite their growing unease about the bungalow's supernatural elements. The early episodes showcase some genuinely funny moments, particularly in the interactions between the cops and the local MLA. However, the show struggles to maintain this balance, as the pacing becomes uneven and the horror elements lose their impact due to inconsistent cinematography and outdated visual effects.
