A standout event during the festival was a special rendition of the Saang 'Padmavat.' This performance, which brought the story of King Ranbir's son and Princess Padmavat to life, was lauded for its emotional depth and vibrant folk presentation. Pandit Vishnudutt Shastri, grandson of the renowned Pandit Lakhmichand, delivered a particularly moving performance that resonated with the audience.
In honor of their role in cultural preservation, artists were presented with financial awards. Pandit Vishnudutt Shastri and Saangi Pradeep, descendant of Saangi Dhanpatrai, each received Rs 11,000. This initiative underscores the university's commitment to ensuring the survival and flourishing of Saang, a vital element of Haryana's societal soul.
