India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has strongly condemned a segment of the paparazzi for their conduct, specifically after photographs of his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, were widely shared online. Pandya stated that a routine outing was transformed into "cheap sensationalism" when photographers captured Sharma leaving a Mumbai restaurant.

In a social media message on Tuesday, December 9, Pandya explained that while he understands the scrutiny that comes with public life, the incident crossed a fundamental line. He highlighted that Sharma was simply descending a staircase when she was photographed from an inappropriate angle, an experience he believes no woman should endure.

Pandya reiterated his respect for the media's work but made a heartfelt plea for increased consideration. He stressed that not all moments require documentation and that basic dignity and personal boundaries must be upheld, especially when dealing with women.
